Brock Benton
University of Colorado Boulder • 2024 Boettcher Scholar
I am an honors Computer Science and Economics student at the University of Colorado Boulder. Within the Computer Science department, I am a Co-Chair for the CS Undergraduate Advising Committee (CSUAC), as well as Co-President for CU Blockchain.
As of August 2025, I finished my third summer at Alamosa School District working in the information technology department. Within my role, I managed the repairs, inventorying (via Incident IQ), and cloning (via the FOG Project and Chrome’s FlexOS) of over 3000 laptops and desktops that support 2100+ students and 440+ staff members.
I am currently exploring topics at the intersection of theory and systems. I have particularly enjoyed learning about blockchain technologies, Linux-based development, and algorithmic economics, and I am interested in how formal models and real-world infrastructure can inform each other.
Outside of school, I run my own clothing store via Depop (and sometimes eBay) which you can check out @imbrock.
